At Lanta Experience
haha. As per Esther dear's request, I am here to talk about our at Lanta Experience. haha.
Me being me, I think I would do something chronological... hehe.
Anyway, just to start with, really wanna thank DaddyGod for planning this trip with us and for us. We're really really graced can. From the application of Leave, to the booking of tix, the finances, the week just doesn't have any CG activities somehow, the experience there, the people we met... LOVED.
hehe. Daddy really knows His stuff. Because we kinda like just set a faith date to go and it was over the weekend. To be frank I was kinda upset that we might be missing CG activities; not being there with the CG when they are hanging out. But you know what? Daddy is really bigger than our finite planning can! For no reason and I don't know what reason, there just wasn't any CG activities that week when the calendar (in the natural), says there should be CG (be it outing or what) that week. So yeah! hehe.
Then okay, like I've said in my previous post, it was my first time taking a plane!! hehe. Okay, weirdo me was thinking would I experience a turbulence. heh heh. I wanna feel how is it like. But anyway, I didn't k. Think Daddy just wanna make my first experience pleasant. hehe. And I get to sit by the window - both the trip to Phuket and the trip back! So loved can. hehe.
Oh ya, and I thank God for spiritual dad 'cos he prayed for us on Sunday and it really lifted the anxiety off my heart - supernaturally. hehe.
Oh ya. Wanna thank DaddyGod for constant hint to take full day leave on 3rd Apr. Okay, in the end I didn't take full; I only took the .5 day leave for 3rd Apr as planned and I managed to work from home which is really praise Jesus. Because I only started packing my bag on Wed night. Packed till 3 plus can. =S Pack and unpack.... haha.
Okay. Then when we checked in, we went to eat... Slowly made our way there... To the don't know where. The place where you need to go through before you get into the plane? Then we were the last ones can. haha. We had to run when we were nearing the gantry. lols.
Oh man. The food I had on plane wasn't nice. =S It's some processed fish which I don't like. haha. Anyway... that's not the point. I enjoyed myself. Didn't get to explore and see how's the plane toilet is like though. haha.
In Phuket

haha. Then when we touched down, our initial plan was to take the airport bus... But we being princesses, ended up taking a private min-bus. Not very private actually 'cos we shared with 5 other people. haha. But very loved. Because we were going to Phuket Town, the driver dropped us first! hehe. I call that favor. haha.

This is like only 2 of the beds. We have got 3 beds in total! hehe. The last one is a single bed. hehe. Sino House Rocks!
This was suppose to be for 3 people leh! We have 5 still enough space can. haha. Anyway, we stayed at Phuket Town for only 1 night. Because the next morning, we would be taking ferry to Lanta! Oh my. Another favor because without any bargaining, the hotel manager gave us a really good price for the Ferry tix - the price on chart were meant to be for kids! haha. Oh ya, the receptionist - a guy by the name Doll has got nice eyes. haha. And no, I'm not gonna marry there. lols.
Oh ya, I forgot to mention... The night before we went out for dinner, we only reached Phuket at like SG 1800hrs like that if I'm not wrong, we prayed. And I really saw the prayer I prayed come to past before my eyes. I prayed that God would send angels ahead of us to pave the way for us. And I saw it happen.
Right from our dinner that night. Girls - remember the guy who could speak mandarin and thai? I believe God planted him there for us so that we could pay the bills. lols.
So the next morning (4-Apr), we woke up early to nice weather and nice breakfast! hehe. Then we went down to take mini-bus to the Ferry port (or is it called pier? haha).

haha. Me being vain, I wanted to put on the contact lenses there and dear Esther and Dot was there with me, instead of looking at the nice sceneries they were there watching me try putting it in. =S haha. Thanks Sweets. And some of the people there were really sweet. One lady just asked me am I okay, give me some tips as to how to put on... So yeah.
So yeah. Managed to get the lenses in after don't know how long. haha. Not more than an hour but maybe more than half an hr? haha. Not sure.
So after putting on my lenses, I can wear the shades I bought at Phuket Town the previous day! hehe. Bought it in a mini-mart. Something like a 7-Eleven in Spore? But theirs is FreshMart. haha.

At Lanta

Then when we reached Lanta, we initially wanted to take a cab. But I kinda spotted someone who would ferry us to Lanta Palace for free. Okay. Initial plan was that we shouldn't take their transport 'cos we had a room for 3 but we have 5 occupants. So yah. Do your own thinking. haha. But I didn't know you see. But in the end, favor again, we managed to get to the resort on the Palace transport. hehe. So cool~
Hmm... Palace didn't look as cool as Sino House (the place we stayed at in Phuket Town). Was initially disappointed but I guess we kinda got over it quite fast... haha. I think. haha.
Then Esther and Dot went out to find a car - they went out on a bike -Dot rode with Esther at the back. Woohoo! haha. Then it all started to dawn on me that maybe it would be more activities packed than I thought? Hmm... haha.
Anyway, I was left at the resort with Christina and Karen so we went to the restaurant to sit down. haha. Then suddenly mentioned about family. Think we were talking about my contact lens - I was contemplating whether to continue wearing it when I'm in SG. Anyway, at this point of the talk, suddenly I realised this is one area I wanna trust God for - my family life. So yeap. :)

Then after like 2 hrs? Not sure how long, Esther came back with a car and Dot was behind 'cos she was riding, so was slightly slower. Not too slow actually. She came in shortly after Esther arrives. hehe. Then we had to drive the car back to the rental place with the rental guy 'cos had to put passport as deposit. So yah. hehe.
So off we went, to find out about the snorkelling thingy first I think. So we headed to the pier first. And along the way we stopped to exchange money and also to have Mango Glutinous Rice. YUMMY. hehe. Then after we check out the snorkelling stuff, we went off to find some place to eat.
Hmm... The first night where did we go for dinner? Okay, we went Khao Yai Restaurant. Dear Karen drove. hehe. When we reached there, my first initial thought, "Are we cheated? How come no people de?!". haha. "Does it mean the food isn't that nice?" haha. 'Cos the restaurant beside - View Point Restaurant was crowded. haha. So yah. But praise Jesus lah. Food was good. haha. Looked at pretty pretty stars when we were in the car. So beautiful can. Like blanket like that. hehe.

Then first day at Lanta, Dot and Esther got tanned le. hehe. Thanks for riding out to get the car. :D

We woke up early - like 7ish Thai time? Then we went for breakfast at the resort and we went out. This time round, Christina babe drove. haha.
Okay, I'm not sure of the sequence of the places we went but I know on this day we went to View Point in the morning and we went to Lanta Old Town. Not much of pics though. haha.

Then we went back to the same place we checked out the day before to get the snorkelling thingy booked.
At first I wasn't quite happy with it... Because actually I wasn't very keen on snorkelling. To be frank I think I was scared. haha. So when I know how much we're gonna pay for it, I was unhappy - paying this much for something that I don't know if I would enjoy. =S So I kinda walked off for some personal time after we paid up. Oh, I was the treasurer for the trip. So yah. I also learnt certain stuff about being a treasurer during a trip. Maybe can implement it on the next trip I would be going - provided I would still be the treasurer or in the first place there would be a treasurer. haha.
Oh ya, we went to suntan at Kant Tiang Bay View Resort de beach before we went to return the car in the evening and took a tuk-tuk back to the resort to watch Sunset. :)

First breakthrough for a safe person like me - I climbed the rocks with the 2 adventurous babes, Dot and Esther, just to watch Sunset. haha. Was really nice experience because as I was walking up, not much of a climbing actually (haha), I really can feel Daddy fill me with courage. :D

Anyway the initiate plan to go to the Seafood place near the pier for dinner was aborted because treasurer raised up some issue - something that I had to talk to Daddy about thereafter. haha. Grace Grace.
So yah. Then second night we went to Thanya Restaurant for dinner. For this we walked and I kinda realised that walking along the road in Lanta is like rare sight; more like weird. haha. So people would stop by trying to get you take their tuk-tuk. haha. Anyway, Thanya serve nice fried rice. haha.

Oh, then comes our snorkelling trip. The snorkelling instructor was cute. By the way his name is Bill. haha.
On the way to the boat... Yes, still fair. lols.
Everything was really fun - not just because of the guy k. haha. I didn't enjoy it at first. Was super scared can. Not of the fish but of the water. haha. So yah. We went to 3 different places to snorkel. And after the first, I just told the girls, "I don't wanna snorkel! It's not fun!". Actually to paraphrase it - "I'm so scared! I don't wanna go down!" haha. But because we have to travel from island to island, on the boat I was just talking to God about it. And He made the second trip onwards enjoyable. :)
haha. The guy in green in Bill. hehe. But too bad girls... He's married with a kid though he's only 20! =S haha.
Then I was so red after I came back from the snorkelling can! =S 'Cos I was sitting in the sun most of the time. haha. Will show pics of my burnt now peeling arm later. haha.

By the way, this wasn't an egg-yolk because the sun set behind the clouds as well. :)

Then when we came back, wanted to go to the Seafood place for dinner le - on bike this time round because we returned the car the evening before remember? But it started to thunder so we ended up having dinner at Palace de restaurant - Orchid Restaurant instead. haha. We were having the same menu for like most of our dinners - Tom yum soup, green curry, glass noodle... haha.
And during the dinner, a rat ran across the the ceiling. hehe. Funny though. Because told Esther not to say it out in case it scare the girls.
Okay. So we turned in for the night. Being RED. haha.

Being our last full day on Lanta, we wanted to explore the island. So another breakthrough for me - I rode a bike! hehe. Okay. Not high speed kind k. It was more like a scooter to me. hehe. But was very blessed with Christina as my passenger because she is very encouraging. Thanks babe!

Nice scenery we see everytime we set off from Palace towards the Pier. :)
Anyway, we set off real early, not sure if we had breakfast, but we went to the pier that area. Wanted to go to the swedish restaurant for breakfast but apparently Thais they don't really eat breakfast and the restaurant wouldn't be open till like near noon. So we hungry people - Esther, Dot, Christina, and me (Karen babe wanted to stay with Jesus on resort) set off to somewhere else to EAT. haha. Okay. Seems like we didn't have breakfast till we reach the pier there. haha.
Did I tell you that I really love the traffic and the people there in Lanta? We got so used to the scenery there that when we were back in SG, our eyes might see flats and buildings but our heart sees the beautiful sky, beach, sand and sea. haha. I love the road from Palace to Pier. :) Something very interesting about Lanta, their roads are just straight man. No left turns or right turns (very minimal) so you can't exactly get lost on the island even if you want to. haha.
Coming out of the breakfast place, when I was starting the engine of the bike, I accelerated too fast and off went bike and me... (in a very narrow lane). Thank God it came to a sudden stop. haha. To be frank, I took some time to recover. There forward, kept talking to Daddy man. haha. But would I still wanna ride if I go back there? OF COURSE! haha. Too fun to miss it. hehe.
So we went off exploring the island.
Kids we saw along the way. Don't play play k. The boy in blue on extreme left was the one who rode and brought the other kids around. haha.
Wanted to go to the TIger Cave but it was aborted because it would take like 2 hrs? =S haha. So we didn't go in the end. We went off exploring the other parts of the island~ hehe.
Anyway, side track a bit - Dotty and Esther skided and again, Daddy placed people there that cared. :) Oh~ wanted to post the pic of this guy who helped us get the medication but don't seem to have it. Anyway, Daddy bless him. :)
A lot of happenings... How I was forced to conquer this "mountain" - had to ride onto this really steep slope. haha. JESUS! haha. Noone forced me but just that I didn't wanna turn back so yeah. haha. But it was really God because when I was on it, it didn't feel as steep as it looked like. And something beautiful that we saw after that steep slope:-

When returning back, I realised this wasn't the steepest. There were more ahead - steep and winding ones which I couldn't get up 'cos was too tired. haha. But thank God there was a security guard up ahead at a resort and he helped me ride up the slope while me and Christina walked up. haha.

Oh ya, and this was the place I saw the sms from Justin about God being the God of the mountains and valleys. haha. Literal for our case - High and low terrains. hehe.
Then we went to the abandoned resort as well. Very beautiful. haha. We wanted to go to the waterfall but the terrain was too rocky so yah. hehe.
Then this time we went to Sri Lanta to watch Sunset. Beautiful! :) We saw the "egg yolk" sunset! After 2 days of seeing the sun set behind the clouds, Daddy provided His girls with "egg yolk" Sunset for the last evening in Lanta. hehe.
Not sure where was this; think this is the open heaven dot was saying? haha. I realised we don't have "egg yolk" sunset de pics? hehe.

But see live one is so much nicer! haha. The pic doesn't justify the beauty our King drew for us. hehe.
Then we scoot back to resort; couldn't stay too long cos my lenses don't have asti so I can't really see clearly with the dim lightings in Lanta. haha. So went back to resort to change to specs before we scoot off to OTTO for dinner! hehe.
Last dinner on Lanta... Beautiful place also. Should go again in the morning because it's just by the beach. :)
Then we went back to shower, pack pack to get ready for tomorrow morning's ferry back to Phuket. haha.
